A mirror that offers no reflection, Relic presents a monolithic cone with a mirror-like surface, an optical device designed to reveal the dualities within. Crafted from cast crystal glass this brutalist creation highlights the mesmerising depth and luminosity of glass.
Monumental in both scale and volume, the cast glass amplifies and transforms light into a tangible presence.
This unique collaboration merges glass sculpturer Peter Kovacsy’s exceptional artistry with Gardam’s precise geometric sensibilities and fascination with illuminated surrealism. Relic’s minimalistic forms are realised through an intricate and physical process.
Each sculptural glasswork is paired with a raw aluminium base and a meticulously machined conical dimmer—handcrafted, polished, and waxed to perfection.
